  • Read until the end of page 83
  • Then on a sheet of paper, title it "H1a. Early People" Remediation  Assignment
  • Complete the "It's Your Turn" assignment on pg. 83. 
  • Write out each question, then answer each question by restating the question

You will need earbuds to listen to the information about Georgia's climate. This activity will help you understand more about Georgia's climate and why it is good for the economy and why businesses want to come here. This module also has flashcard practice.

  • You will need earbuds.

  • Title a sheet paper "G1d. Georgia's climate" Remediation notes.

  • Take notes about what you hear and see.

Grab a blue and orange CRCT GPS Edition Coach Book developed in Consultation w/ Ga. Educators

  • Turn to page 32

  • Read until the end of page 35

  • Then on a sheet of paper, title it "Early People of Georgia" H1a. Remediation Notes

  • Then, think about all you have read regarding early peoples. Write a 3-4 paragraph essay about what you think it would be like to live during early periods as a Paleo, Archaic, Woodland and then Mississippian.

Level 3:

"Georgia's Climate" G1b.

Grab a yellow "8th Grade Georgia Studies Gallopade by Carole Marsh

  • Turn to page13. 

  • Read the passage, analyze each image for tourism, agriculture and industry.

  • Then on a sheet of paper, title your paper "G1b. Remediation Notes".

  • Jot down each question #1-5.

  • Answer each question in complete sentences by restating the question to answer the question.

"Georgia Early People: H1a"

  • Read page 80 beginning with "Mississippian Indians" all the way to the end of page 83.

  • Then on a sheet of paper, title it "H1a. Early People" Remediation  Assignment
  • Write a list of 15 of the most important facts that you have learned about the Mississippian people.
